Thomas's wonderful recollection of this holiday in the seaside town of his youth is captured in this vivid performance. Also included are five other selected poems read by Dylan Thomas, including his well-known Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night.

Whether sharing his wistful memory of a holiday spent with people long past, or addressing the perennial problem of our mortality, Thomas gives us great pleasure in our personal and common memories while affirming life with a resounding "Yes!"

I was born and raised in the USA, but am of Welsh descent and found this rendering of Dylan Thomas' work to be "dead on" in recapturing my Father's, my Grandfather's and my own moods and recollections of Christmases past. It's alright to be sentimental now and then, and remember that we are not so very different after all. The audio is much better than the scratched records we had to to endure in the 4th grade, and the voice of Dylan Thomas rings true as he recounts the events of that long ago day, when he could not remember if it snowed for 6 days and 6 nights when he was 12, or for 12 days and twelve nights when he was 6.
